Why do you think US opened up factories, branches, invested money in China? To make money!!
How? Just take a look at Walmart's annual report.

Of course it is a mutually beneficial ( notice the spelling - not benificial ) relationship, but that doesn't mean that we should thank anybody!!! If you go to a food stand and buy a hotdog, you benefit from the hotdog, but should you be grateful to the hotdog guy who doesn't give a crap about you?!
