First off, US never had a 'strong desire and intention' to 'teach'. Quite contrary, the most advanced technologies are strictly controlled. Well, if you want to maintain the super power status, wouldn't you?
Secondly, again, US is trying to make profits off YOU. Why should you be thankful?
