in general, yes big companies tend to move their IT to india, not without big problems though. one big american bank (cannot mention the name as i do not want any law suit)
moved their IT over thinking the idians speaking english (personally i always had prob understand indiglish not english)
but they had no idea how business are done here, so their linguistic logics were stil a big nighmare
i am not sure it is ture but many believe the chinese programmers are MS based thus no experiences handling
large scale enterprise stuff, which could be a misperception to fight as a uphill battle...
the real prob i see is regardlessly, the missing role is a qualified chinese middleman
many shity CIOs of lack of good CIOs ot lack of CIOs are the common prob for almost all big companies: they all want to save money but only one asshole is on board for this and he for any rediculours reason could sign up bunch of good teams but pt togehther a lousy job or sign up bad teams to begin with
recently, GE made a saving over a logistics software, dropped USD 17 mil on it, it is a piece of crap all operational hands hated it as it would not really work for them. i have many examples but cannot and will not list out all here. if i land that contract, i know i can do it half price and still make it work while have my own little humble profit covered.
so in short, if you can manage to place yourself as a good middleman, team up with good business analyst (a big prob on many enterprise software caused by lack of good businest analyst who understand the business) then you should have your shots
