公平最重要的要尊重游戏规则.

AIG did not break the laws by shelling out the bonuses. On the other hand, the law does not make AIG's bonuses illegal either, so the government side follows the 游戏规则 too.

What the new law does is to close up certain loopholes in the 游戏规则. It is not aiming at AIG only and for this time only. Instead, it is for whoever falls into it and for a long time.

The main difference between it and 老共没收大资本家的财产 is 老共没收大资本家的OWN 财产 but this law taxes on the bonuses from bailout money which does not belong to AIG at the first place. Government or not, it is just to get his/her own money back. 黄世仁总不能因为向杨白劳要回属于自己的钱就能成为一个共产党员吧.

Capitalism still needs regulations. It does not mean communism. We can talk about its right or wrong, but no ism please. It is too big for us ordinary guys, just leave it the the great, greater, greatest fews.
