Title: Senior Tester
Reports To: Testing Team Leader and/or Team Leader/Project Manager
Department / Job Family: R&D
Role Context / Overall Purpose
• Help testers and trainee testers brush up testing and IT skills
• Create testing report and conduct statistics.
• Assist project managers in testing-related work
• Provide troubleshooting support
RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES, and LIMITS of AUTHORITY
Key Responsibilities and Accountability
-- Create and review test cases based on requirement specifications to ensure the testing coverage
-- Create and review test plans to define testing strategy, approach and schedule
-- Provide tutor and technical support for junior testers and developers
-- Develop automation scripts

Education, Training, and Qualifications Required
Essential
University degree;
Three-year college graduate or BSC in technical subject
Desirable
Financial/accounting qualification
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
-- 3+ years overall QA Test experience;
-- Experienced in creating test cases and executing test cases
-- Experienced in supporting developers and junior testers
-- Experienced in automation testing & tools
-- Experienced in environmental testing
-- Proficient with MS SQL Server and Oracle
Desirable
-- Programming experience is a plus, such as .Net and Java
Competencies Required

• Good problem solving abilities to assist with problem diagnosis
• Focused with skills for attention to detail, very methodical, thorough, organized and a finisher

Title: Junior Tester
Department: R & D
Reports to: Testing Team Leader / Project Manager
Overall Objective: To write test scripts for automated test tools
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, execute test cases for extensions to existing and newly developed applications
• Identify and track bugs, working with developers to ensure bugs are fixed
• Work with developers to reproduce and isolate problems
• Set up testing environments following product specification and implement tested software successfully
• Troubleshoot basic problems that trainee testers encounter
Levels of Contact:
(Type/with whom & frequency) Regular contact with the Architect and Senior Testers to ensure full testing compliance by developers and the automated testing process. May also be instructed by the project manager.
Job Requirement
Work Experience
1+ years in software production environment.
Experience of automated testing tools. Knowledge of RUP, eTest, SilkTest
Behavioural Skills
Focused with skills for attention to detail, very methodical and a finisher. Good problem solving abilities to assist with problem diagnosis.
COMPETENCIES:
LOGICAL Must be able to assist in diagnosis of problems when they occur
ATTENTION TO DETAIL Must be a perfectionist and a finisher.
