Hardware DVT Manager (Shenzhen) -- salary over 30k per month
As a member of the Ruckus Wireless engineering team, you will build and manage a Hardware Design Verification Testing (DVT) group in the Ruckus Wireless Shenzhen office. You will be responsible for testing and documenting newly designed and existing hardware to verify design margin and robustness. Products include indoor and outdoor 802.11 Access Points and Controllers. This position will report to the Sunnyvale headquarters so business will be conducted in English.
Responsibilities
Recruit and manage a team of DVT Engineers (3 initially).
Purchase and set up test equipment as needed to support testing.
Develop the overall hardware test strategy. Testing may include:
Electrical: signal integrity, timing analysis, 4-corner
Environmental: IPXX (Water, Dust), thermal, humidity, vibration, drop
Reliability: HALT/HASS
Interoperability.
Work closely with Hardware Engineering to draft test plans in English.
Manage testing, both in-house and through 3rd party test labs. Meet overall project schedule.
Investigate test outcomes. Escalate any failures to Hardware Engineering. Participate in root cause analysis.
Maintain test results in English. Prepare and submit reports
Qualifications
10 years experience as a manager in a relevant field.
Understanding of hardware test methodologies, including development of test cases/suites, performance monitoring, test automation, and data analysis.
Extensive test and troubleshooting experience in a research and development environment.
Experience in writing product test plans and reports.
Strong relationships with local test labs.
Familiarity with testing of outdoor products.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Ability to work autonomously with no local supervision.
Ability to travel freely to US and Taiwan.
Experience with WiFi products is desirable.
Start-up attitude is essential.
B.S. or equivalent in Engineering.
