people evaluation can not be 100% objective. It is people (VC) versus you (people)!
However, a vew things are critical:
-passion and drive- u can fake it
-relevant experience - you wrote the bp, got to know more than the VC. But they do bring in 3rd party experts
-credibility - good school name, blue chip company, or a big shot they know you know
most importantly:
integrity, make your records are clean! you will be cheked out. they will talk to people you know and you don't know.
