It seems it is easier to get a higher position in Hong Kong/Taiwan/Singapore in those companies, at least from a b-school review I have read before. In USA, I cannot see this would happen, or at least not a MD at such a young age for an Asian and foreigner (maybe there are few, but definitely not a lot)
However, my questions are still not answered yet. There are so many people from HK, TW, or SG in senior management positions in those foreign or even local companies. I cannot see how their backgrounds are better than our Haiguis. I smelt a feeling of distrust from western headquarters, but just could not say wether it is true or not.
