1) There are away more girls/boys like 残荷、吴越、孤枕、波儿、京姐 in China now. I've been doing luxury shopping in everywhere, NY, L.A, SH, HK, etc. And I know how those girls/boys in SH shopping. I agree there are some turtles with very decent fashion taste, but not for average turtles. The reason is simple, turtles/overseas are usually either working hard or studying hard under big financial pressure. They are lot like many Chinese girls/boys with easy money and basically nothing to do.
2) I agree your second point that 海归 is a potential reputable brand name. But, again, the question is at what cost and how long you and other investors can wait? I doubt you'll devote much of your time into this thing, especially during the early stage when no-sure-return, unless you really find a strong management team, which is another case.
