make common sense. Without initial business talks, contacts and a somewhat legally binding letter of intent, only the most stupid company will open its books and guts and all the inside info. to a stranger and outsider to let you conduct due diligence? On the other hand, $1.2 million after tax $$ is lot of money to Bob Sun as an individual. I don't know about you, but to me it is ton of money just to buy a pile of trash??? Unless Bob Sun is using his grandpa's money or, even worse, other poeple's grandpa's money. I happen to have visited several dozens of Chinese companies and most of them are manufacturers. I have seen more capital equipment and hard assets than trashes!! Talking about textbook stuff, yes, I have learned a lot from business school and use my education to practise business and merger & acquisition in the real world. Everything I am talking about here is the real world stuff with first hand experience. The most recent one I had was from Aug. to Nov. 2004. For three months I worked my butt off but the deal fell apart at the last minute. Well, that is life. That is why you are seeing me here more frequently licking my wounds
