1. To be physically in Hong Kong
2. Your IDs
3. A letter with address printed, preferablly a letter from public utility company or telecome company. THis is critical! An address in US is acceptable. But if you have an address in Hong Kong, it's better.
4. You don't need a Hong kong visa or residency to open an HK account.
5. Try to speak English (if your English is not too poor.), some HK people are still prejudice to Madarine speakers.
6. Standard Chart, HSBC, and Bank of China are all good banks.
