I am confused on what you want to say/show.
Looking from the side from Jap companies, the worse they want to do, the better off for China.
We need data, hard data from the Chinese perspective. For instance, say, for the toyota cars, what is the cost for Chinese to close the local works? In comparison, what is the cost for Jap to close the local works? If you can show an economical model for future impact, that will be super. Keep in mind, the simple the model, the better. A over complicated modeling always ends in the wish of the operator.
My gut feeling is: An open trade war with jap is not likely a great thing. But selective sanctions should be a good game to play. For instance, any low tech things like cosmetic and personal care products, very likely cars. Industrial equipment? I beg your pardon...
