Title: Legal Counsel
Report directly to General Counsel of Hanwha Solarone group
Location: Shanghai
FUNCTION:
1. Legal work related to general corporate, especially foreign direct invested enterprises such as joint venture and wholly foreign owned companies.
2. Legal work related to development and implementation of branding and product strategies globally, including addressing the related intellectual property issues.
3. Design, development and implementation of HR strategies and processes.
4. Legal work related to design, development and implementation of IT strategies and processes.
5. Legal work related to finance strategies and processes, including project finance related work.
6. Cross border litigation and arbitration.
7. Compliance related legal work, including US FCPA requirements.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
1. JD, LLB or other applicable law degree required, preferable with foreign legal education experience such as LL.M.
2. Minimum 4 years of legal experience in the areas of general corporate law, employment law, intellectual property, and arbitration & litigation.
3. In-depth knowledge of up-to-date PRC law.
4. Basic knowledge of US law including FCPA and international trade gained either in an international law firm and/or multinational company.
5. Strong bilingual contract drafting and negotiation skills, organized and able to work independently.
6. A team player and work in a self-directed manner.
7. Communicate effectively with senior management, HR community, and other functions within the organization.
