In the 17th century, America gained its independence.
In 1929, America went into a deep recession.
So are you going to look at the end result in 1929, and conclude that the independence was bad?
You just looked at the last Bush year and concluded that all his years were bad.
You are going to argue that his prior years caused the crisis, aren't you? Mind you, if we go back and trace the root cause of the crisis, why should we only go back to Bush's prior years?
If we go back, I propose we go back to Clinton years.
