The monitoring agency can trace all the phone records and email records. They can find unusual transactions. For example, if people live in the same zip code suddenly buying large volume of certain securities, they can suspect that there is a securities dealer living in the close proximity passing out insider information. Unless the hard drive is destroyed, people can restore data already deleted.

That is why I am so curieus - if they want to do any inside tread, they should NEVER speak that by phone, email, Texto or any paper evidences.
What I can say is that they did'nt pay too much attention on this.
The best advice is DO NOT DO IT. It is not fair to the average investors.
People working at executive level of public companies or, people like Ms. Wang having insider knowledge, should not engage in those activities. Of course, there are insiders doing these things every day.
