Personally I am 100% for the tighter quality controls over any imports. On the other hand, has anyone in the USA news media ever thought about the same total recall shall be demanded and justified for all the financial products such as CDOs and MBSs that the Wall Street have exported to other countries??!! Those financial products have all passed the "quality control" conducted by agencies such as the Moody and S&P with triple A or double A ratings. We are talking about billions of dollars here vs inexpensive toys. Besides, the poor owner of the toy mft. hanged himself for the recall and I am wondering if any high-paid Wall Streeters will ever hurt themselves even slightly
My conclusion is: the life is tough and unfair, so far.
Now when I am importing stuff for our company, we have to pay 50% down when placing the order and the balance due when the shipment effected, making my life really harder.
