Job Requirements : Minimal 5 years direct telecommunications product development and 3 years project/program management experience with increasing responsibility, preferrably in wireless or mobile handheld area. Basic understanding of 2 or more pieces of the following: GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 3G as well as hardware and software architecutre of the wireless handheld device. Working knowledge of hardware and software development process, system integration and verification, type approval and other testing/certification process. In-depth working experience in either software or hardware design for product development that has resulted in volume shipping is required. The experience of managing third party component vendors and software developers is a big plus. Project management skills including the ability to drive schedule, cost, risks, and quality with both internal cross-functional teams and customers teams in different regions. The skills to build, maintain, and motivate the project team and work directly with resources managers, business managers, and senior management. Great communications skills and interpersonal skills. Experience ofinteracting directly with customers. Capable of prioritizing issue resolutions with tight delivery schedule while managing customers expectation. Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
Job Description : Responsible for customer engagement from the program execution perspective and act as the main customer interface between the product development team and the customers. Lead new product definition and product features discussion with the customers, located in greater China region. Translate the customers feature requirement and requested launch date as well as internal resources into the project schedule. Drive the committed project schedule, software and hardware design, system integration, testing and certification, and software/hardware releases to the customers. Track the overall status of the programs by leading weekly internal and external status meeting with the project team members and senior management. Prioritize critical issues and identify resolutions with the engineering teams and with the support from senior management whenever necessary. Coordinate and manage the interface with cross-functional engineering teams, marketing, accout management, and senior management. Interface with regional design, factory support, and local program management teams to ensure the customers receive day-to-day support for key deliverables.
