MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
. The position requires managerial skills in running a QA group, which will be testing a
range of different localized software products. Also, the role will oversee all quality
systems within the department, and be responsible for the implementation of quality
processes and procedures across the region. Ultimately, the position will be
responsible for the design and execution of the test plans and scripts, and will partake
in ongoing research into improving the test methodologies and performance testing.
. Typically, the QA manager will manage the testing and QA of complex product with
multiple development contributors and product stakeholders. This includes developing,
implementing and managing the execution of automated and manual test cases both in
the UK, India and the USA, tracking test progress and reporting QA project status.
. Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills are essential. The role
will be responsible for the establishment of QA standards as directed from the VP of
Engineering, so there will be an emphasis on process/documentation.
. The QA manager and team will work closely with development teams to reproduce and
isolate problems and you will be expected to contribute to on-going product and QA
process development.
. Strong performance management of team, individuals and projects.
. Good appreciation of metric usage and practical application.
. Understanding of test strategy, planning and execution
. Internal and external customer focus with a strong track record of delivery
. Responsible for reducing testing cost through automation working in conjunction with
the engineering teams
. Providing clear visibility into the localization QA process
. Providing direct input into the engineering teams on how to ensure localization is tested
correctly.
Skills and Experience
. B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science.
. 7+ years experience as a full-time QA manager in a software
development/localization environment. Experience working in multiple
companies performing QA or QA management in the localization function.
. Language Skills in either, FRE, DEU, ESP, JPN.
