For everything, there is a time, and there is a place. For every man, there is a station in life, albeit that station might not be what he anticipated some years back. The persons who gave life to him advance in years, and that end of the road start to get ever closer, until one day it would seem inevitable. Mortality solidifies from a concept to something concrete, and even the puppy, once so full of youthful energy and boundless vigor, starts to calm and eventually dull. Fur loses its sheen and eyes cloud, joints creak and then wobble and then slip and bulge, until one day, the joints disjoint and the living no longer live.
Fear, fear of the inevitable. Rage, rage against the night. The kins of kins lost their kins, and it seemed so remote; and then the kins lost their kins, and it seemed quite closer. One day the six degrees will become one, and the one losing the kins will be the self, and that, is a horror unbearable.
In silver dirigibles he travels, from one end of the Earth to another, until cities blur and friends become acquaintances. On the 56th floor, overlooking the neon lights the bars restaurants Izakayas Karaokes Esutes clubs pubs all he sees are the wasted souls puking pissing squatting at Shibuya Asakasa Roppongi Shinjuku. Maybe it's time to get off the road? A few thousand days and a few hundred thousand miles surely suffice now.

Here is to admire the purpose and the singular pursuit. He recalls a priest, extreme right, spouting homophobic xenophobic everything phobic rhetoric on a soapbox somewhere in LA, or was it SF? He admired the man's devotion to belief now. Now only if that belief mattered and changed anything...
