Consturction Asia Pacific Market Manager
Report to AP Sales & Marketing GM
Purpose of the job
The Construction Asia Pacific Market Manager (CAPMM) develops the sales of products on the Construction (concrete and gypsum) markets throughout Asia Pacific. He will also be in charge of the other “Industrial Specialties” markets (Water treatment, ceramics, leather, detergency, drilling mud, textile, Personal care, etc.)
Organization
CAPMM reports to the General Manager – Sales and Marketing.
Tasks
Commercial strategy
CAPMM proposes commercial strategy and applies the strategy decided.
CAPMM visits customers as needed with the distributor, or with the laboratory experts. He gathers the intelligence of the distribution and admixture manufacturers organization. He understands the needs of the customer and proposes relevant technical solutions.
Relations
CAPMM manages relations with the different internal actors needed in his position: laboratories, supply chain, finance. Outside of the company, he maintains relations with the various actors in the field, either private enterprise or official bodies.
Distribution
CAPMM, with the help of the Distribution Manager monitors and manages the distributors for Construction and Industrial Specialties in the Region.
He/She works with the Distribution Manager in this effort to improve the efficiency of the network.
Competences
Fluent English
Good communication skills.
Fluent with computers
Technical background in dispersants superplasticizers and rheological modifiers.
Engineer diploma or PhD level in civil engineering or chemistry.
Professional history 5 to 10 years: International company manufacturing experience.
Experience in the Construction market in China and ideally elsewhere in Asia.
