Job Summary {Briefly describe primary functions of job}
This position is an industry/Business consultant within the Professional Services Department. This is a client-facing position having accountability for client expectations management while delivering the services and solutions associated with our Teradata Data Warehouse offerings.
Key Responsibilities {List key responsibilities of job}
Focus on providing presales support as well as implementation of data warehouse solutions utilizing Teradata, and related technology products including BI and ETL tools and external systems such as mainframes and UNIX servers. Provide data warehouse consulting services, thought leadership, technical and industry expertise to Teradata clients.
Demonstrate knowledge of data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, SQL, end-user tools, database and SQL performance tuning.
Prepare user manual, technical documentations, training material and conducting user trainings
Engage in pre-sales activities e.g. preparing proposals and carry out presentations
Works independently.
Participates in customer and team relationship building.
Work Environment {Describe work conditions, i.e. location, travel, office}
Beijing office;
Requires 70% to 80% travel with schedules determined by specific customer demand.
Skills & Attributes {i.e. work w/cross functional teams, good verbal & written communication)
5+ years experience in Data Warehouse implementation as well as solution sales support
Proven business consulting skills for Manufacturers
Proficient in Data Warehousing as well as Business Intelligence, and strong knowledge on data modeling
Rich Knowledge in ERP and BI for manufacturing(Hi Tech), expert at SAP/Oracle ERP
Knowledge in RDBMS and SQL
Excellent communication skills
Basic Qualifications {Minimum skills & education needed to perform job}
Bachelors Above Degree
8+ years Consulting experience
5+ years Industry/Business Consulting experience for manufacturing, ERP/DW/BI
Fluent English is must
Preferred Qualifications {Manager Preferences, i.e. exp. w/comp., spec. industry}
Familiar with ERP business process and data
Familiar with SAP BW
