• Provide assessment of the office’s CAD environments
- Determine weaknesses in current CAD implementation and propose solutions
- Establish processes by which CAD decisions and rollouts are distributed with minimal downtime
- Develop and enhance the current knowledge
• Enforce Gensler standards
- File naming standards
- Project set-up and network folder organization
- layer standards
- Develop, maintain, and promote the Gensler CAD metric standard.
• Educate Managers
- Help managers understand the CAD process
- Help managers assess the CAD skills of users
• Foster communication among the staff regarding CAD
- Disseminate information from San Francisco and/or Firmwide offices
- Share solutions to common problems with the general staff
- Identify any outstanding CAD issues within studios
• Training
- Help acclimate newly hired employees with the current Gensler CAD standards
- Assess the skills of users -Informal lunches / Q&A sessions Requirements
• Provide IT troubleshooting
- Support Windows XP Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Coordinate with San Francisco regional office for all technology issues
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
• Previous experience in the Architecture/Design industry (5-7 years)
• An expert at Auto CAD 2006+ systems as well as ADT and be able to demonstrate their ability to work to rigorous standards. And can easily interface with a diverse group.
• Experience in using, supporting, and customizing Autodesk products. Revit skills is a plus.
• Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of 3D Studio Max.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop support and IT troubleshooting (not related to CAD)
• Good communication & interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese.
