I happened to listen her lecture on movie production in the U.S. five years ago. For sure, woman in the pavilion was used mostly for case analysis. William Duff, if I remember the actor's name correctly, has not yet got the academy award before signing a contract for this movie. Still the cost control was quite difficult when shooting this movie in China. ...lots of stories.
Ms. Luo did not mention how she got the money for this movie. But I heard her hubby helped her in this. The movie was produced in quite much ,the movie industrial fashion.
I have respects to both Ms. Luo, Mr. Xiong and their success in their career.
