increased mkt shared at its expense. It used to be 90% blackberry on planes and during meetings, then Palm phones like Treo 6** (on palm os) got more popular, now I see about 1/3 folks use Treo 700 (WM 5).

With a good push mail program, these new devices can be as good for emails, and there are more choices for web browsers. For certain devices, you can use it as a high-speed modem for laptop.

With increased memory/power in phone/pda, it'd be hard to stop msft's Wireless Mobile OS, until Steve Jobs decideds to get in the game. I would like to see Java OS based phones take off.

My 2-yr old Treo 600 will retire soon, and am getting a new WM 5 device. Deciding between Treo 700 and HTC's xv 6700, won't bother with blackberry.

HTC is a very smart company.
