I support the war in Iraq, believing the victory serves the interests of people in US and most of other people in the world, maybe just except Russians. But I just cannot agree with this article. It sounds like "Ren Min Ri Bao," just goes to another extreme. How could the author be so igorant to what is happening in Iraq now? How many Iraqis went to street to celebrate their liberation? Can the author just go to read "Newsweek," or is she/he unable to understand English? And how many Iraqis now are demonstrating AGAINST US? We liberated them, and now they are demanding Yankees Out! The author potrayed a completely distorted scenario, with her/his colored glasses. Does she/he want us to be so blind to ignore what is happening now, and what a difficult situation will be in the future, by selling us such a rosy picture? It is our tax dollar that is funding the operations in Iraq! May I just ask, does the author pay tax, or is she/he abusing our tax dollars?
The reality is, affairs in Middle East and Iraq are extremely complex, in religion, geopolitics, ecnomics, power balance, etc. From this article, however, one can only see ignorance, mind-set of extremists, and propaganda. The author's understanding to the world politics and ecnomics is only in skin depth.
