seems the guy doesn't understand the process of learning foreign languages.
captions are very bad for learning. U got to turn on the TV or radio even if you don't understand the content being said/broadcast. That's the process of learning.
I've seen so many chinese turning captions on and watch TV.
What did they get in the end? They still couldn't understand TV programes when the captions were off!
