You can tell your boss your family member or parents have medical need for you to go there. you can take off 90 days with less pay(new CA law) but if you work for others while taking the pay from the states, it is illegal and you could get sued by the CA state s. Your company could get a big fine (300K). Better to quit this stupiddddd idea.
Even your boss approved it, you will be still responsible for providing misleading statement to the state by filing a false claim. You could loss all your future benifits from your state.
If you are not going to work for others, it is fine to take the money from your state.
