no matter how modernized shanghai is getting, once you walk into the residental areas, even the "good neighborhoods". my old shanghai comes back in a sense it rains even sun shines:
you would only have water drops from upstairs where they pur their luandry hanging high there. in the navy we call it "full color" as the highest courtesy, in america, they call it chinaman's laundry.
what makes even more itneresting experiences for non shanghai native viisitors, you watch for water drop from up, while you stump into pools of water on the side walk....not a very comfortable feeling....but hey, i have been here before,
it just reminded me i was back in shanghai again.
