when i first came here from china, nobody cared about china. speaking german or french would have got you at a good starting point in your career in this country.
today, china being the world factory, sooner later we will find our chinese background becomes a big plus, a hot commodity.
so, do not let them tell you that your english is not perfect, they do not even speak chinese that you do. so find your own position that is good for you and you can really show them what you are made of
but if you are here to stay and look for job security, that's entirely something else
