According to CIA Factbook, 2003 (est) China's PPP GDP was about $6.449 trillion while that of Japan was about 3.582 trillion.
The biggest problem of Japan is the low birth rate, 9.56 per 1000 as opposed to 12.98 for China (2004). All Chinese need to do is to immigrate to Japan and take over gradually in the next few decades.
