also, Just a piece of information you might like. That's what I heard in US. The cops usually will issue a bunch of tickets with the same day that goes to the court. He/she will go to the court on that day. So what you can do is to change the date that goes to the court, in US you are allowed to do so twice. You can call the court and request a date change. You have a great chance that the cop won't show up on the day you picked. I haven't have any real experience, but this makes sense to me. Hope you never have to do it. good luck.
