It is a trade-off for most of choices. It would be a bit easier if there are clear priorities. Kids will grow up anyway. It may be better to spend enough time with them to help figuring out how to deal with the environment, which could be a challenge for some of parents themselves. Self discipline and reliance are among the qualities which will help.
