Can you tell us more about your company (of course we will not poke our nose into something under NDA).
I found a quite interesting article about Magma. Magma claimed that it is the No. 4 design house, behind Synopsys, Cadence, and Mentor. I think it is run by an Indian. Sorry I cannot find the article anymore. It was in EE Times. Its current quarter report was quite rossy. I guess maybe because of its Indian connection -- It trains Indian EE engineers. Something maybe useful for you:
1. How about training Chinese engineers? This may open some revenue opportunities.
2. One of the analysts pointed out that the key drawback Magma has is its lack of verification capability -- India is very strong in software, but almost no semiconductor manufacturing. It's natural for them not having the ability to master semi processes -- a big hurdle for them to develop verification tool. Given the high cost for even a single wafer, no major chip maker will implement a design without verify it can be made with acceptable yield first. I guess this may be one of the reasons why Magma, although signed Navidia up, still unable to penetrate TSMC or UMC. On the other hand, China, with its rapid developing foundry capabilities, may be a better place to develop first tier design houses.
