What's the business of this private enterprise?
1. If you decide to go, you have to convince yourself: yes, I can do it!
2. Keep your connections in the US warm, tell them that you are going to try in China, and may come back to them for good opportunities. It's not a matter of how many years you can live without income. At that level of your career you probabbly won't want to take just any job, but sitting idle for over half a year does not look good on your resume.
