JOB PURPOSE
To manage the delivery of assessment services to the company client base via a team of field
based internal and external assessor resource, ensuring that deployment is achieved in
an effective and efficient manner in line with plan and to the highest level of quality and
customer satisfaction.
DIMENSIONS
• Total staff (internal): 100 plus
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Play a key role in China executive team to engage in China strategy formulation
• Own the delivery of all assessment visits on time, within budget and to highest quality via a regional management structure across China and from time to time overseas.
• Monitor delivery against planned targets and ensuring all administrative activities are delivered in accordance with operational requirements and service level agreements.
• Supervise the Planning Manager and Support Services Manager to agree delivery of production plan and long-term resource plans to enable budgets to be met.
• Control the expenditure associated with the delivery staff (i.e. remuneration, travel etc)
• Responsible for ensuring recruitment and induction of additional resource is conducted in line with long-term resource plans.
• Manage and develop the team of field-based Regional Managers and ensure that they in turn manage and develop their Team Managers.
• Oversee the performance management and development of the client managers,
liasing with the Training on development programmes and initiatives to ensure assessor competence meets delivery requirement and is continually improved.
• Actively support the management of major accounts and lead the ongoing effective management of all Company Management Systems clients.
• Implementation of all home-based policies and the regular review of their status and
provision of recommendations to the management team on changes etc.
• Ensure that External Resource are managed and utilised effectively to enable flexibility in delivery.
• Liaison with sales and marketing on matters which directly affect the China-based staff.
• Ensure sound people management practices and that the field force is compliant with health & safety policies, working time regulations and other employment policies and
legislation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• At least 3 years in an operational role that managed managers overseeing a sizeable
workforce of technical/professional staff.
• Comprehensive knowledge of business operation and the regulated business
environment. Standard related qualification is preferred.
• Strong team player, with proven ability to work with other functional areas to deliver
and implement project plans.
• Demonstrated effective leadership and development skills, able to lead a sizeable
remote workforce to achieve results and continually improve.
• Proven experience in developing or contributing to business strategy
• Knowledge of Company Systems Assessment policies, processes and procedures preferred.
• Proven experience in developing and managing a budget
• Results orientated with a track record of achievements to prove it.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English.
• Strong customer focus, able to oversee customer relationship management processes.
• Strong analytical skills and presentation skills.
