Roawen Chen, Ph.D.

Dr. Chen joined Marvell Semiconductor in 2000, managing the foundry operations, and contributing to the company’s growth and business infrastructure. He was promoted to vice president of manufacturing operations in 2005 and since then has held other titles and responsibilities within the company. Between 2007 and 2009, Dr. Chen expanded his role to include general manager for Marvell’s connectivity business unit – spearheading the communications and computing business unit and managing consumer-driven, popular product lines, such as Marvell’s smartphone platforms, ARM-based application processors, and power management ICs. Dr. Chen also co-manage design and software R/D for Marvell China division from 2008-2009. Dr. Chen’s efforts, commitment and accomplishments contribute to both Marvell and the semiconductor industry.
Dr. Chen currently serves a three-year term on the board of directors of Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA). Prior to Marvell, Dr. Chen held technical positions at TSMC and Intel Corp. Dr. Chen holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from National Tsing-Hua University and a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC-Berkeley.

Dr. Nanlei Larry Wang has been in the wireless industry since 1991. He started designing cellular phones in AMP, IS136, and PDC. He co-founded EiC Corporation which was acquired by WJ Communications. EiC Corporation provided key semiconductor components, modules and sub-system to both the consumer and infrastructure sides of the wireless market, winning many tier one customers, e.g. Motorola, Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE, Notel, etc. He later joined Palm in charge of Smartphone product launch, including Centro, Treo 750, Treo 800W, Treo Pro’s in UMTS and EVDO.
He first authored over 40 IEEE papers and held more than a dozen patents.
He is an independent consultant now; his clientele includes FormFactor in California, Founder Group in China, Beijing Government, ASTRI in Hong Kong, covering from technical design to market trend in wireless market.
He is active in social service. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Chinese Institute of Engineers / USA – SF Chapter. He also served as Board Members of the National Taiwan University Alumni Association.
Mark Hayter, Ph.D.

Mark Hayter joined Google as an Engineering Director on the Chrome OS team following the acquisition of the startup Agnilux where he was co-founder and COO. Prior to that he was involved in systems architecture holding senior positions at several semiconductor companies, including P.A. Semi (acquired by Apple), Broadcom Corporation and SiByte. Earlier, Hayter was at the Digital Equipment Corporation Systems Research Center, where he led research efforts on the VirtualBook, which inspired the Tablet PC, and led hardware efforts on the StrongARM Network Computer reference design. He also served as the lead hardware engineer in the development of the first hard-drive-based MP3 player, commercialized as the PJB-100. Hayter holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory.
Bruce Cleveland

Bruce Cleveland has been part of InterWest’s IT team since 2006, focusing on investments in the software and services sector with an emphasis on Cloud Computing and analytical applications. He is a board member of Cloud9 Analytics, Marketo and Signal Demand.
Prior to joining InterWest, Cleveland was one of the original members of the Siebel executive team. At Siebel, he held numerous executive positions including senior vice president and general manager of products, senior vice president and general manager of the OnDemand and SMB divisions and senior vice president of marketing and alliances. In the latter capacity, he is credited by Forbes and IDC with creating the most effective alliance organization in the enterprise software industry. He also held executive positions in engineering and product management at Apple Computer and Oracle Corporation. Prior to Oracle, he held technical positions at AT&T.
Cleveland attended the United States Military Academy, West Point, and received a B.S. in business administration from CSU, Sacramento.
William Wei

William Wei is CEO and founder of Mobile Apps Express, a start-up company focused on iPhone, iPad, Android and mobile cloud related technologies based in Taiwan and China. Prior to Mobile Apps Express, Mr. Wei founded KC Software, Inc. in 1998 to provide technology and information consulting services for Fortune 500 companies such as Apple, MCI and US Postal Services, etc. He was also the founder of a few web 2.0 sites that were constantly pushing the web innovation envelopes. Mr. Wei has a deep root into the current Apple’s technology as he worked as an engineer for NeXT and then later Apple. Mr. Wei received his MS degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and MBA from University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School, Chapel Hill respectively.
