Description
A newly found biomedical device manufacturing in China is in need of an individual with a comprehensive engineering background and hands-on experience in a fast-paced product development environment. The design engineer is responsible for designing new products, redesign of existing products, developing new manufacturing process and improving existing processes, the identification and implementation of cost reduction projects, specifying production equipment and providing support to maintenance and manufacturing in technical matters. It could be either a consultant or full time position.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
• Interfacing with clinical advisors to gather input for design and evaluation of new products
•Design and development of dental implants, surgical instruments and prosthetic components
•Completes drawings, manufacturing documentation and inspection criteria.
•Development of prototypes for design verification and validation
•Hold design input, review and transfer meetings to assure device is properly verified and validated per input criteria.
Requirements The qualified candidate should possess:
•3-5 years of product development experience
•Familiarity with design controls with in a regulated industry.
•Hands-on technical problem solving ability
•The capability to work independently
•Ability to manage multiple competing requests at the same time.
•Strong desire to both contribute and learn in a cross-functional team environment
