Standard Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer Lead
Product: Windows/SQL Server
Division: China Research and Development
Location: Shanghai China
As the Senior Dev Lead, you will be leading a team of high caliber Microsoft Software Development engineers on designing, developing and shipping high quality system level software components in the Windows operating system. You will work with the W3C standard body on cutting edge technical standards that define the next generation of technologies and bring them into realization in the software products we ship to customers. To be successful in this position, you must be able to adapt to and improve software development processes to meet the demands of cross-team collaboration. And you must also have excellent architecture and design skills for enterprise software products---products that require top-notch reliability, performance and usability.
Requirements:
• 8 year+ professional development experience in designing, developing and shipping high quality commercial enterprise product (database, operating system etc.).
• Superb oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines to achieve desired outcomes.
• Expertise in one of the major object-oriented programming languages: C++, C# or Java.
• 3 year+ software development management experience.
• Experience with xml technologies and API design is a big plus.
• Background or knowledge in COM, .NET Framework and distributed systems is a plus but not required.
• A BS degree or better in Computer Science; Masters degree preferred.
• Fluent in English; Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) preferred but not required.
