Great points. Beyond ideals, I would like to share some thoughts about resilience.Resilience is a way of facing and understanding the world, that is deeply etched into a person's mind and soul.
In most time, more than education, more than experience, more than training, a person's level of resilience will determine who succeeds and who fails. That's true in the Olympics and it's in the boardroom.
There are three components of resilience:
1. Facing down reality. When we truly stare down reality, we prepare ourselves to act in ways that allow us to endure and survive extraordinary hardship. Step by step, we train ourselves how to survive before the fact.
2. Searching for meaning. resilient people possess an ability to find meaning in aspects of life. Value systems of these resilient people changed very little even over the long haul. The Value and meaning of life frame most of our important decisions. Our strategy and our mission may change according the changing circumstance, but our values never do.
3. Doing with whatever is at hand. It is a kind of capability to solve problem and overcome obstacle in a creative way.
