There is a concern bother me so long I can’t understand- the relevant cash flow.
EG: G.T is considering to replacing old equipment.
Old equipment:
Current book value----------------------------$50,000
Current disposal value------------------------$ 3,000
Terminal disposal price(5 years )-----------$0
Annual depreciation--------------------------$10,000
Working capital-------------------------------$ 5,000
Income tax rate---------------------------------40%
Current disposal price of old equipment--------------$ 3,000
Deduct current book value of old equipment --------$50,000
Loss on disposal of equipment-------------------------$ 47,000
*ow much is the tax saving?
$47,000 * 40% =$ 18,800
What is the after tax cash flow current disposal of equipment?
Current disposal price-----------------------------------$3,000
Tax saving on loss---------------------------------------$18,800 *
Total-------------------------------------------------------$21,800
Concern:
The tax-saving is hard for me to understand. The function is easy to follow. We know the Net initial investment components= cash outflow to purchase investment + working capital cash outflow – cash inflow from disposal of old asset
还是用中文把， 他妈的 说不清楚， 我不明白 把旧的机器卖了， cash inflow 不就只有 你卖机器所得的钱吗？ 为什么还要 加上你卖机器 亏的那部分的 税？我问过很多同学， 他们都不懂（不知道事真的不懂， 还是不想说 ）后来 他妈的专门 make appointment 去问 了几次老师， 他们都说 那事因为你 卖机器亏了就有saving 好像 那是很正常的， 根本不存在 不可以理解的事， 所以就不感 再问了。 我的理解是， 那旧的机器是不是算在那 asset 上， 本来值$ 50,000的 但是 卖机器只卖得 $3,000， 你的asset 上 就少了 4，700 ， 所以就要 退钱， 但是这样说野不通亚，如果你卖得东西 是 亏本得， 那 还有没有tax saving 呢 ？ 想了好就都 不明白， 现在我就只有死记 这里， 但是不理解， 把它当作是 澳洲得税法得不同， 但是我也不知道中国有没有 这样得规定？但是为什么？ 卖机器得 3000 块 为什么 又 不上税？
