I know nothing about this market in China, but am curious why those local powerful people bought used BMW cars back to China. With the information I collected these two days, I'd like to play it a little bit .
Here is one used car quota that the dealer gave me when I spoke him two days ago:
$48,000 for
Porsche Cayenne 2008 , 3.6 tiptronic
10,000 mileage on, automatic, sun roof, GPS, etc , loaded more like this one

+ shipping estimated : $1000~$1500
+ misc. document fee estimated: $200~$500
+ 75% Chinese custom of the sales price
Total cost = ($48000*1.75+$1500+$500)*6.9 =￥593,400
I found this l<x>ink for a similar one but made in 2007 in Chinese market asking
￥855,000

money to save: ￥855,000 - ￥593,400 = ￥ 261,600
As I compared a year 2008 model with a year 2007 model, in the states European cars depreciate very rapidly in the first three years, and if I did not miss anything in my calculation, then the true saving could be even higher than ths number,
I am not familar with 4S, nevertheless, there should be a manufacture warranty, right?
