Key Responsibilities
Assist in defining and developing QA test plans, as well as executing QA test plans within stated deadlines. May need occasional manager support.
Take part in project planning, estimation, schedule creation, management and adherence.
Supervise the activities of quality assurance testers and coordinate their activities with other project team members and with other QA teams.
Assign, review and re-distribute administrative work among team to meet various workload pressures and due dates.
Perform functional, regression, upgrade testing. Database testing is a plus.
Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts.
Collaborate with development team to understand assigned features for the purpose of developing test cases
Familiarize with new technology, operating systems, and automated testing tools in order to maintain an awareness of technological advances.
Mandatory skills and experience
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
2. Hands-on experience on testing web based business applications.
3. Must be able to define test strategies and create test plans
4. Must have hands-on manual testing skills in functional, regressions and upgrade testing areas.
5. Must have hands-on experience in writing test cases.
6. Must be able to confidently review functional and design documents and provide feedback stakeholders.
7. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Desirable skills and experience
1. Programming background like Java/.Net/Perl/C/C++/Shell scripts or PL/SQL stored procedures.
2. Prior automation experience using any of the above mentioned programming language.
3. Database – is able to write complex SQL.
4. Familiarity with performance testing – LoadRunner.
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related field. Master's degree or global equivalent is a plus.
Work Experience
Typically 7 or more years of experience in related role.
