Responsibilities:
l Work as a technical lead with a software engineer team to develop and maintain Sepaton VTL products.
l Work closely with L3 support engineers to debug Sepaton products, find solutions for customers to solve field issues on time.
l Play a proactive role in developing and applying new approaches to engineering design and development. Anticipate issues and address them proactively.
l Work under limited direction and within general practices, follow the high level design specs, define and integration test plans.
l Provide technical expertise by independently determining and developing approaches to solutions for VTL and Application related problems.
l Mentor junior software engineers.
l Participate in requirements, functional and design spec reviews of new products.
l Work with an international team to coordinate development and troubleshooting tasks.

Requirements:
l Minimum 8 years working experience in software development in C/C++ with minimum of 4 years of Linux and/or Unix (BSD, Solaris, or AIX) kernel, I/O drivers, and storage software development experience.
l Minimum 3 years experience in a technical leadership position.
l Direct experience with backup applications(TSM/NBU/Legato etc) is highly desired.
l Direct experience with storage protocols including Fibre Channel and SCSI. Experience or knowledge of network protocols including iSCSI and TCP/IP highly desired.
l Strong sense of urgency and teamwork
l Strong debugging and analytical skills.
l Leadership mindset with ability to work well both alone or lead teams.
l Operating system internals, IPC, tools, particularly Linux and Unix.
l Scripting in Perl is a plus.
l Strong English reading, writing and verbal communication skills are required.
