... Chinese organizations are aiming to attract talents? I think they will be able to hire somebody at this price level, however, it will not be the right kind of people. If they are determined to turn Shanghai into a world-class financial center, eventually the salary level will need to be world-class as well.
I know lots of my friends are interested in working in China, and I know that they are even willing to take a pay cut as cost of living is lower after all. However, if the cut is too steep then I doubt if anyone (of quality) would be willing to take the plunge.
