SHANGHAI (Reuters) - The global financial crisis provides investment opportunities but they must be examined prudently, a senior executive of China's $200 billion sovereign wealth fund, China Investment Corp (CIC), said on Monday.

"The financial crisis is still going on. While there are apparently huge risks lurking in the way ahead, this provides at the same time huge investment opportunities," Jin Liqun, CIC's supervisory board chairman, told a financial conference in Shanghai.

"The investment arm will look at each and every investment opportunity that comes our way, and transact in a very prudent manner," he said.
