Bill Gross appears frequently on Bloomberg TV. Some video clips are on bloomberg.com. Often tmes his comments are blunt, even a little mean -- Government can't move at the speed of a shark like Pimco.
It is unrare to take the evaporation of $1 trillon for a bill to pass. Political process is a most inefficient concensus building process. Ideally, people should go to Washington for public service (take Hank Paulson as an example), not to wield power (sadly that's how most people look at governments and public officials -- and they have a good reason).
One lesson of this crisis is to teach those who tend to abuse the system, now there's no system left for them to abuse; and those who tend to wield power, soon there will be no power left for them to wield.
