There is another possibility. You believe he was thinking like this... or you believe he would do such and such... or you believe he must have planed that... I think I read a similar story from that guy,a completely different version of same story. Put misunderstanding aside for a while and take one step back, the fact of both story include you did accept the help and it was free!
You should have said "thank you" instead of "shame on you".
What if we replace the short guy in the story with a wealthy, tall, hundsome, clean guy who picked up the girls at the airport?
