when the US stock market is in tumoil, there will be unwinding of the carry trade, which will in turn drive the AUD lower. That's why the EUR/USD has turned north since it hit the lowest point couple days ago, but not the AUD/USD.

In my erxperience, AUD is a difficult currency to trade, it is tied to too many factors. Carry trade is so far the most important factor, but of course the commodity price is also important.

I am not an expert on FOREX though. Any opinions from the pros?
