Helping a friend setting up a branch office for the US company, and
the cost involved is very surprising:
1. there is a so-called "foreign company service corporation" (officially
sponsored), 6140 yuan. A deposit of 18000 yuan will be charged for hiring
employees in china.
2. gong1 shang1 ju2 registration fee 1600 yuan, advertising fee 1850 yuan.
3. wai4 jin1 mao4 wei3, gong1 shang1 ju2 and public security bureau need to
see the company rep in person, approval notice need to be picked up in
person, (think of many hours of time wasted)
Is this highway robbery or what? all this cost will be passed on to the consumer,
and the only one who benefit are state employees in the bloated bureacracy.
