Not good for a 3 year old in my opinion, not good for him/her in every aspect.
Good for you and not so good for you. I think you can handle it, but it is too much strech -- carrying him/her around, multiple meals. A stroller actually makes things easier for you in western countries. A good stroller is like a little tent, and you have a cart for your baggages.
It is not safe for long travel like that. A woman and a toddler alone, not safe. You would face loneliness, frustration and men who could bring trouble.
